Now Available: Celebrating Our Translation Collaboration on Sign Language Studies
We are thrilled to share a major milestone! We’ve recently collaborated on translating Volume 23, Number 4 (Summer 2023) of Sign Language Studies, the esteemed academic journal published by Gallaudet University Press.
This specific issue holds incredible research on linguistics, Deaf culture, and history—including insightful work by Ceil Lucas and Robert Bayley on dialect development in Southern Deaf schools. Bringing these complex, groundbreaking scholarly articles into a new language has been an immensely rewarding journey.
We invite you to explore the research and dive into this rich cultural history. You can consult the volume online here:

The Caribbean Deaf Education Conference 2026 has officially come to a close at the UWI St. Augustine Campus, Trinidad and Tobago. From July 23–25, educators, advocates, researchers, and community members gathered under the theme "Pathways to Inclusive Education and Human Rights for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing: Empowering Change in the Caribbean and Beyond."
Over three transformative days—culminating in an inspiring Deaf Expo & Fair—we engaged in powerful discussions on Sign Language access, literacy development, advocacy, and inclusive educational practices.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our keynote speakers, workshop facilitators, sponsors, interpreters, and delegates for making this landmark gathering a resounding success.
